Erica and Dawn joined our Blog
My friends Erica and Dawn joined our blogs. Just for support, I'm sure. Neither has any weight to lose, but both like to be "healthy". Kelly wants to join but was confused by the website so I'll be helping her soon. Invite your friends to join. The more the funner! ;)) Plus imagine the tips and wealth of knowledge we can obtain from all our healthful friends of all sizes!

Feb. 17
I'm almost at the end of Day 2, and it's not been so bad. Food choices were good, took the vitamins and calcium, so it was a pretty good day. One day at a time.....
Okay, I am now in! Just had to wait for my invitation to join. Thank you Teri! My first day was pretty much the same as the two of you; however, I am finding that I am probably not drinking enough water, tea, fluids, as I should be drinking. I will try to make a concerted effort to do that each day. I know that drinking 8 glasses of water a day is not only healthy, but a key to losing weight.
DAY 1
Not too bad for a first day. I probably did what Teri did -- not eating enough. But then again, those calories hide and add up quickly.
I took my calcium and vitamins for the first time in a while. Don't know why that is such a hard habit for me to establish. Exercise is another place where I fall way short. I'm now on the board of our local YMCA, so that should motivate me to get off my butt. All the other women on the board teach aerobics and/or boot camp classes....(((sigh)))
My visit to the doctor two weeks ago and getting on their scale was a real wake-up call. I hadn't weighed myself in six months and I'd gone up 12 lbs. for a total of 38 lbs. in the past 3 years. I weighed yesterday on my Weight Watchers scale and cringed when I saw the number.
I'm anxious to make progress on this mess I've made for myself. Sure is easier to do it with the two of you onboard. I'm focusing on how different I will be when I see you again in the summer!
I asked my doctor many years ago for some help with losing weight. I was looking for a pill, a quick fix, anything that would make it easy. He simply said, "Losing weight is accomplished by making one good choice at a time".

My first day on the "diet" went really well. I ate according to plan, exercised a little...and I mean a little and took one Alli for which I'll see if there's any affect. I think I probably ate too little, so I'll have to balance my diet out better starting tomorrow. I actually feel good and think I'll wake up tomorrow feeling good. I didn't have my normal bowl of sherbert tonight and just remembered that I have to throw out that container! I also have to go grocery shopping because what we have in the house won't last too long! btw...I didn't like the results of my weigh in or my fat percentage! Boy or boy was the fat percentage higher than I imagined. Looking forward to tomorrow!
