My friends Erica and Dawn joined our blogs. Just for support, I'm sure. Neither has any weight to lose, but both like to be "healthy". Kelly wants to join but was confused by the website so I'll be helping her soon. Invite your friends to join. The more the funner! ;)) Plus imagine the tips and wealth of knowledge we can obtain from all our healthful friends of all sizes!

  1. Good Morning.

I just realized that we do – do something unusal.

I drink Kefir in the morning so I can take my fish oil capusles and my B-vitamin. I can’t drink milk and I am not usually hungry until later in the morning.

Kefir is like yogurt and is it really good for you!

I mixed 6 oz of kefir (I like Pomegranate flavor) with 3 oz of ascai berry with pomegranate juice.

Kefir is meant to be drank…. But it is a little too thick for me. This make the consistency better and it taste great.

Kefir's ample supply of phosphorus, the second most abundant mineral in our bodies, helps utilize carbohydrates, fats, and proteins for cell growth, maintenance and energy.
Kefir is rich in Vitamin B12, B1, and Vitamin K. It is an excellent source of biotin, a B Vitamin which aids the body's assimilation of other B Vitamins, such as folic acid, pantothenic acid, and B12. The numerous benefits of maintaining adequate B vitamin intake range from regulation of the kidneys, liver and nervous system to helping relieve skin disorders, boost energy and promote longevity.

Here in IL – I found that Meijers has the best selection. You can find there in lowfat…. But I won't buy/eat any thing that is listed as lowfat. I like my food to taste like food.

    Have a GREAT DAY!

    Erica

  2. You're a wealth of information, in addition to being a star rep! Thanks for the info! I appreciate the link to Kefir, since I live in a very small town with no access to foods or supplements more complicated than milk and Wonder Bread.

I've been taking Ascai capsules every day for several weeks.

  3. Hey - check this out. Is this the same thing? http://acaionoprah.com/ Carolyn, another one of my reps, ordered the 14 day trial. She really is excited to try it.

  4. Helen,

Small towns are great and yes they do have some limitations. Enjoy yours before it grows like mine did.

You could try making your own kefir. Here is some information. When I was growing up my mom made homemade yogurt and I loved it. My daughter Nadia is a kefir pig. So if this is easy and cost effective, I might try it too.

    Homemade and Ready-Made Kefir

The easiest way to have fresh kefir available any time is to make it yourself! Among the benefits of homemade kefir: you can choose the milk you use -- organic, nonfat, low fat, whole, goat's or cow's milk; it's very rich in microorganisms, and, of course, it can't get any fresher. Our kefir starter culture contains six packets that can each be used seven times. For more information on the starter culture, call Body Ecology at: 1-800-511-2660, or click here to go to the Body Ecology online store.

You can also check out the full line of Body Ecology products on-line at the Body Ecology Store.
